Brentwood Aged Care is a modern purpose built aged care facility located in Geelong. Offering high care, low care, ageing-in-place and dementia specific care, Brentwood Aged Care offers an exceptional range of care services and continues to meet and exceed the ongoing care needs of each of its resident.
The individual well-being and independence of the residents at Brentwood Aged Care is a priority. All members of the clinical staff and other services strive to implement this model of care. Brentwood Aged Care is also committed to ensure that residents continue to access the community as part of their social needs. Family and friends are encouraged to participate in activities held at the facility.
All rooms are single with private en-suites. Residents enjoy spacious living and dining areas as well as a beautiful internal courtyard for entertaining. Low care residents can access our Ageing-in-Place option, providing the opportunity to be gracefully cared for during their stay without having to relocate to other areas of the facility as their care needs increase.
The dementia specific unit has been designed to provide the most effective dementia care program. Staff working in the dementia specific unit provide person centered care catering for individual needs. Individualized care and the support of the residents family helps promote active care and independence in the areas of physical and social well-being.
Brentwood Aged Care staff is highly qualified and consist of registered nurses division 1 and division 2, personal care assistants (PCAs) and stand-up staff. Extensive additional allied health services available include physiotherapy, podiatry, diversional therapy, hairdressing, oxygen, and incontinence program. and PEG feed. All clinical services at Brentwood are managed through the expertise of a registered nurse division 1.
The lifestyle of all residents is seen as an equally important component of the holistic care model that Brentwood Aged Care strives to implement. An activities program runs from Monday to Friday and is managed by a lifestyle managercoordinator. Interesting and simulating activities are offered and individual needs catered for.
All meals are prepared on-site with a dietician ensuring residents' special dietary requirements are met.
